The Chesterfield Canal - Public Transport

Public Transport on the Chesterfield Canal.

As public transport services, particularly the buses, are subject to frequent changes, it is not helpful to print times and services. At the time of writing the canal is reasonably well served with public transport which often makes it possible to walk along the canal and return to your starting point by bus or train.

Between Sheffield, Kiveton Park, Shireoaks, Worksop and Retford

To travel by train from Chesterfield to Worksop or Retford you will need to go to Sheffield and change trains. Trains now stop at Shireoaks on a Sunday but only in the afternoons (not in the mornings).
