Turnerwood Upper Lock - the structure was being prepared for the fitting
of lockgates.
Note that a new bywash has had to be constructed on the towpath side as the
site of the original has been
lost while the canal has been closed. In the background, a new stone cottage
replaces the bungalow
which formerly occupied the site.
