Staveley Town Lock is going to be built by the Trust's Volunteer Work Party. It will enable the canal to get under the railway line just east of the new Staveley Town Basin. The Work party have had previous experience of lock building; they surveyed, engineered and built Dixon's Lock which reopened in 1995. A project like this needs a huge sum of money to make it happen. You can help by donating a brick for £5, a hod of bricks for £50 or a barrow-load for £100. If you would like to donate online, please click here.
Should you wish to donate bricks as a virtual present for a loved one, we can supply them with a certificate as shown alongside here. Just email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
