Chesterfield Canal Trust benefits from Staveley Town Council’s Grant

At the September meeting of Staveley Town Council, Barry Dyke, the Chair of the Council, and John Williams, the Leader, presented Robin Stonebridge, Chair of the Chesterfield Canal Trust, with a cheque for £200.

Robin thanked Staveley Town Council for the support and reported that work on the canal wash wall was nearing completion, work on the Staveley Town Basin is on schedule for it to be filled with water in November and the society are looking forward to holding a Canal Festival in June 2012 on the new Events Field.
