Despite the best efforts of the British weather to dampen proceedings, it was more dry than wet for day one of the Chesterfield Canal Trust Festival 2010 in Worksop.

Thousands again braved the elements and in return were treated to a great free day out for all the family. From fairground rides to canal boat trips; from traditional arts and crafts to theatre groups, choirs and real ale, there really was something for everyone one in the grounds of the Worksop Rugby Club.
