Towpath Closure in Chesterfield

The canal towpath will be closed between Tapton Lock on Lockoford Lane and Station Road at Brimington because it is due to be re-surfaced by Derbyshire County Council contractors.

Work will definitely start on 29th April and it is hoped that they will finish well before 28th June. We'll keep this updated as soon as we get the information ourselves.

The towpath will be open at weekends .

Tapton Lock Visitor Centre will not be affected.
