Our Chesterfield based tripboat, the John Varley, will do a full day cruise.

Starting at Tapton Lock Visitor Centre, it will go right up to the floodgate with the River Rother.

It will then turn and go the full distance to Staveley Town Basin where it will do a couple of laps before returning to Tapton Lock.

It will be the first canal boat through the new lock gates at Wheeldon Mill.

Ten locks, ten miles.

It will make refreshment stops at Hollingwood Hub.

It will depart at 10 a.m. and get back at about 4 p.m.

Tickets cost £20 or £15 for under 16s or over 60s.
