The James Brindley (JB) is our publicity trailer. It is taken to local, regional and national events where our volunteers talk to visitors about the Chesterfield Canal; its history and future, restoration and regeneration. You can see where we are going to visit this year by viewing the Events Diary, and on these pages you will be able to follow our progress. Stephen Thompson looks after JB, and Eva Thompson manages the fund-raising side of the operation from the comfort of a gazebo, under which she oversees all sorts of goodies, including a tombola, general sales and souvenirs and other assorted ideas for raising money. Should you come across us at an event, please come and say"hello". If you would like to help with this very public face of the Trust, email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
